    Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and personnel in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they see that all stations and games are covered for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating standards for members. Supervisors will also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

    Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and above average communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage employees accurately and to greet guests in order to establish return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain expertise in other gaming occupations before moving into supervisory positions because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these staff.
