• Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall betting is not permitted. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent spot, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; still, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are for all intents and purposes required to cross, there are ways around this, as is real of many border crossings.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga river boat is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel complex that contains many amenities aside from the gambling den, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and 88 table games.
